Maxwell's Big Star - Bolivar, TN

Apparently, Maxwell's Big Star was at one time a chain of grocery stores in and around west TN, but the location in Bolivar at the town square seems to be the only one still around.

Miller's Grocery - Christiana, TN

This is no longer an Amoco or even a gas station. It's not really a grocery store, either. Instead, today it is a popular restaurant and probably the only reason that people from out of town come to Christiana.

Halford's Grocery

It looks like this was an old fashioned grocery store that recently closed it's business. This is located in Wayne County, along highway TN128 north of Clifton.

Spring St. Super Market neon sign - Cookeville, TN

A neat neon sign on US70N in Cookeville, TN. The Reddish lights progress in order, starting at the top left, then the horizontal lines from the top to the bottom, and finally the big arrow at the bottom right.

W.T. Reed Groceries - Gainesboro, TN

This building on the town square in Gainesboro gives some insight on what small town architecture used to be like. There's a couple of old murals on the side, including a nice vintage Coca-Cola lady-drinking-a-coke silhouette and one for Wild Goose Flour. Also along the top of the store front are small concrete animals. I think there were three lions and a rooster.
