Henley Street Bridge - Now reopened in 2014
This historic bridge over the Tennessee River in downtown Knoxville was closed in 2011 for a complete rebuild. I drove over it on June 21, 2014 a few days after it reopened at a cost of $32 Million. The Open-Spandrel arch bridge originally completed in 1931 carries US441 and is the start of the Chapman Highway to Gatlinburg. For the full story:
