St. John's Cathedral - Knoxville, TN

St. John's Cathedral - Knoxville, TN

This congregation was organized on May 1844 by Thomas W. Humes who later became the President of UT. About a year later, James Otey visited and laid the cornerstone for the original church building at the corner of Cumberland and Walnut. In 1892 at the same location, it was replaced by this stone building of Romanesque architecture.
