Cheekwood Mansion

Cheekwood 1: The Mansion

Part of the Cheekwood Botanical Gardens in the Bellevue section of Nashville, TN.

This mansion was owned by the Cheek family, famous for the coffee blend served in the Maxwell House Hotel in downtown Nashville, which President Teddy Roosevelt proclaimed was "Good to the Last Drop."

It was built in 1929 and is now on the National Register of Historic Places. The family lived here until the 50's when it was given to the city with the Mansion used as an art museum and the grounds became a botanical garden.
