This old 4-story brick building in Russellville, KY is thought to be the oldest industrial building in Kentucky. It may date back to 1810, despite the sign showing 1817.
My great-grandfather, Lucian B. Harding born in 1845, was a blacksmith in Russellville Ky at the time and a slave who also taught his son, my grandfather, John Harding his trade, they certainly must have worked here. I pay tribute to them both but never to the enslavement that this building represents. All praises and may God save President Obama!
