Penny Dog Food sign - Birmingham, AL

Birmingham Hide & Tallow Corportate headquarters. The sign dates back to the 1950s and the tail and eyes used to move. This sign is located along 1st Ave N just east of downtown (also along US11).

This local landmark has been restored several times. I have been told it's going to be soon moved to Regions Field (if it hasn't been already.)

Jones Pet Shop neon sign

This sign is located in Hillsboro Village along the very busy 21st Ave. (US 431), now Fido's coffee shop, but they thankfully left the sign. Decades ago, they had a trained parrot in the pet shop that would say "Jones Pet Shop" when people would walk in.
